GM Mexico workers elect independent union by wide margin

An independent labor union, SINTTIA, won a vote to represent workers at GM’s pickup plant in Silao, Mexico. SINTTIA won over three unions, including Mexico’s biggest labor organization that had held the contract for 25 years.
